Nature of Management.
The nature of management is not a simple aspect it has various parameters of its own. The organization is been working on these Parameters to achieve their predetermined goals.
Management is basically multi-disciplined. This implies that management has developed from different disciplines like physiology, sociology, etc. Management integrates Knowledge, idea & concepts from the above discipline & present a newer concept that can be put into practice for managing the operation. According to sociology human element plays a very important role in the organization. So by using, this concept one can motivate & lead the human element in the organization to achieve goals according to psychology make –up of humans plays important role in productivity thus by understanding workers’ attitudes one can increase productivity in the organization.
2) Dynamic Nature Of Principle.
Management has certain principles that are based on Practical evidence however these principles are flexible in nature & change according to the changes in the environment. With the continuous development of the speed there in fields, older principles are to be changed by a new principles.
3) Relative not absolute principle.
Management principle is relative but not outdated means these are applied according to the need of an organization. Each organization may be different from others in a variety of aspects including the age of the organization, place, society, and cultural factors.
4) Management Science & art.
Still, there are controversies about whether management is science or art, however, management is both science & art.
5) Management as a Profession.
Management has been regarded as a profession while many have suggested that it has not achieved the status of the profession
6) The Universality Of Management.
Management is a universal phenomenon. However, the management principle is not universally applicable but is to be modified according to the needs of the situation. The nature of management suggested that it is a multidisciplinary phenomenon its principles are flexible, relative & absolute.
Elements of the Nature Of Communication
i) Goal-oriented
The most important goal of all activities is to accomplish the objectives of an enterprise. The goals should be realistic and attainable.
ii) Supreme in thought and action
Managers set realizable objectives and then mastermind action on all fronts to accomplish them. For this, they require full support from middle and lower levels of management.
iii) Group activity
All human and physical resources should be efficiently coordinated to attain maximum levels of combined productivity. Without coordination, no work would accomplish and there would be chaos and retention.
iv)Dynamic function
An organization should be equipped to face the changes in the business environment brought about by economic, social, political, technological or human factors. They must be adequate training so that they can enable them to perform well even in critical situations.
v)Social science
All individuals that a manager deals with, have different levels of sensitivity, understanding, and dynamism.
vi) System of authority
Well-defined lines of command, a delegation of suitable authority, and responsibility at all levels of decision-making. This is necessary so that each individual should what is expected of him and what he needs need to report.
vii) Process
The management process comprises a series of actions or operations conducted towards an end.
